Animal facts-Bobcat

In this blog post I will be discussing the Bobcat.

They live in the United States. They are a mammal and a carnivore. They can live ten – twelve years. They can weigh 11- 30 lb. They are the most abundant cats in the USA not counting the household pet. They are close relatives to the lynx. They are nocturnal. They live in swamps, deserts, and forests and suburban areas. People also call them wild cats. They are twice the size of a normal cat. They are brownish with a little bit red. Hunters love to catch them. They eat rabbits, mice, birds, squirrels and other small game. They are stealth hunters. They can jump up to ten ft. They are solitary animals. Females can birth up to six kittens. The kittens stay with their mother for nine – twelve months. Hunters also take their soft fur. In the United States alone there are probably one- million of them.

This is the picture of a Bobcat. I found this picture on animals.nationalgeographic.com.
